Then and Now
Then at sentosa - Me and my ex-gf , Simon and gf , clifford and gf.
Well its reflection time,... and boy does time flies..
Its been over 8 years since i left NS (national service) . Seen here are my NS buddies each of them now have a family and a daughter each.
Not sure if i should feel happy for them or sad for myself... I would like to have a family yet.. the burden of having one is both a joy and a bane.
Of course starting one means i have to find the right gf ...and until now its stays faraway ..

Part 2 - Kelong kawal trip
Okay really busy since i was back from my trip over to bintan island. Okay will try to make it short and err sweet (cross my fingers)
This trip initiated by my friend dennis and his ex uni classmates. We planned for a 3 days and 2 nite get away from hectic singapore city life. I guess i need a break too , u can see that i have been goin on business trip regular..( not to enjoy of coz) . So this is my opportunity that i can't miss out..
So i left on the day of deepavali holiday. Meet up at tanah merah ferry terminal .. as usual our man was there to pass us the tickets . The journey takes us about 3 hours including transfer by bus from tanjung pinang ferry terminal to this place at kawal.. the east coast of bintang. The view there is breath taking when we first step out of the vehicle . But the journey is not over yet..we still have to walk about a km on the rickety wooden bridge to the kelong.
Once inside we were ushered in for lunch. We aren't alone here.. there are about 4 other groups of tourist/backpackers . Well food was great.. if you are a seafood lover , crab , fish , shellfish are the everyday delights. 5 meals aday yes five meals , breakfast, lunch, teabreak, dinner, supper are all included. As for activities , there are plenty from airgun, darts , chess, pool, mahjongs, karaoke(hey i can sing ) to outdoorsy type like fishing, snorkeling, banana boat, canoeing and other sea sport stuff. And best of all u don't have to pay for all these unlike other operator.
There are two island abt 15- 20 mins away from the kelong. So we ask the skipper to bring us there. Nikol island which has its beautiful corals and fishes that was very enchanting. The other island which i have no clue what it is called is more sea grass cluttered. You can find odd stuff like octopus , starfish and assortment of shell fish.
One memorable experience is how we caught 4 sotong (squid) within a short span of 30 mins. Seems like the squids are on a rescue mission ..to rescue their comrad.. hahaha...but alas we have the whole sotong clan in our hands..
Its been enjoyable and hopeful we will return again.. with better fishing tackles and baits..
Air gun ... fun but tiring coz you need to pump the gun before you can fire off a volley.

A night at simon's love nest
Was invited to visit my friends place (simon and XP) at marine parade which was just renovated. It totally groovy, very retro look ...yet modern and chic looking. I admire the way they play with colors, textile and the lighting. The moment i saw the main door you will know that this is not a typical dwelling...coz there are glass door (those you find in the pubs) right in front.. replacing the grills. And inside each room they have are activity room from relaxing , dinning, "play pen" , study not to mention a walk in wardrobe.. but i guess whats most interesting is the play pen...where simon would indulge in mixing records...
Well i know who to ask next month when i want to decorate my place next month :P
DJ console in the "play pen" ..from the glass door you can see the dinning room...
