Can't believe the end is coming and this sunday will be the ultimate test.

Adventure Run..( a romp in the city)























13.29km thats the distance for the adventure run/walk with the gang last night (first one for me in the city). And also the first time i put q-link product to the test.
I am not sure how i got the burst of energy in this run, Maybe a placebo effect of the q-link or perhaps i haven't been running long distance since last week. I was performing way up my gauge.
Well what ever it is i will continue to test this emf reducing agent and monitor my progress

Oh did i mention Sh bought a new watch?

Just bought a armband, i can't resist the force. It looks so "must have" bandaid looking
got the white one.. $54 bucks.. i am speechless...

KL trip report
Heres a brief trip report on my getaway to KL last weekend.
Took a Sri Maju bus costing $25 per trip, Could not get the aeroline or transtar first class bus thou (which cost about 58 per way). Due to the last min decision to go by dan.

Well reach KL on sat 1 am! had supper at one of the famous store.. can remember i think "fatty grandma place"in chinese or something like that. Chicken rice , hor fun and veg . Taste good but the chicken wasn't too good thou. maybe a bit over cooked.



























And after which went back to the hotel (the-ascott next to KLCC/petronas tower nice view)
spend the nice boozing and watching DVD...

The next day morning we headed down to bukit bintang checking out the new service apartment - ritz carlton , which just opened recently. posh looking interior but price anit cheap.
After which we got some DVD at the famed sungei wang shopping mall (why famed coz its full of the friendly stuff like xbox , DVD discs at super low price 8RM each). After which we headed out to genting highlands, To get there you have to take up taxi pooling at putaraya bus terminal's carpark. Theres a sign saying "genting taxi service". And you will be ushered to a cabby and there you can bargain for the best rates (about $17RM a pax).

If you like initial D the movie, you will have no problem siting in one of these cabs. I mean they are really good. Cutting thru the curves with one elbow resting on the door at hmm 80/90km/h or more. New roads up genting highland these day makes the ride rather straight with curves only towards the end of the trip.



















With so much swaying in the cab , Have to take a breather up there in the clouds. Well surprisingly the weather anit that cold up there. Maybe due to global warming. Grab a cuppa at starbucks before heading to the casino.

Been to casino in melbourne (crown) and Sydney but not any asian casino. This was an eye opener bascially. Genting casino, the banker spend alot of time change money to chips for the players. And seems like theres no farangs (caucasians) at all seems like us asians are the number one gamblers. Another mark difference is i don't see any brochures explaining the harm of gambling addiction and what number to call for counciling .




















We got back to earth at approx 6pm , to meet up with carol and her bf at damansara. Gosh she has really lost alot of weight. Didn't really stay with them for long as we had to rush down to Sentral for a post deepavali party organised by kumar (dan's friend/classmate) .

Allan as usual the entertainer, draw the most attention. And no amount of drinks can get him down. Left B-Sentral and head down to a pub bojangles to watch the match between england and argentine and what a match. final score 3-2. Outside the pub theres this roving supper truck. It serves steam boat meals. Just pick any stick or skewers with seafood and boil in the pot provided. At the end of the meal just show them the skewers and pay accordingly. Cool, like the concept.





















The next day , had my jog at the gym , breakfast on the 22 floor and later got a tann and did a few laps on the pool. Before heading back to singapore.

Trip report after i am back

Dress me up!
It happened , yes its inevitable. Once you buy an ipod, no matter how hard you resist you will have to buy some accessory like adam cannot go without eve.





















Well heres what i got. A Sillicone case ( yes i made it wear a protection) . An Armband for all my runs (Its a maclink brand and not the original Apple brand coz i find it a ripoff haha ..well actually the cost is ridiculas ) . And lastly a white Sony Nude Ex earphone (coz it sound sexy).

Total cost? 140 bucks for all!

Tough one yet ever undertaken by me

So wats the big fuss about
I am talking at the ipod nano with the "impossibly small" slogan . So i decided that i need to get a unit to see why is everyone going gaga over. Went down to orchard lucky plaza ask for a unit from suresh (owner of a gadget store there). bought the 2GB white version at 348 plus a screen protector (a must as nano scratches easily as reported in CNN). Got home in lightning speed ...you cant image how fast it is ...




















First impression was ...incredibly slim and light almost like a thin chocolate candy bar...yummy so tempted to eat the white chocolate ..damn gotta snap out of it...the designer team for apple must have like chocolate alot haha






















And look behind ...its so reflective and shiny.. can be my vanity mirror hehe...























Gee heres what i was talking about ...waffle thin..
Like the itune interface ... i can add album covers to the cd i am listening to.. photos albums, a timer to time my runs.. Podcast to listen to online radio...i think i will keep this baby for awhile..

So whats next?
Getting accessory for my ipod nano!.. Like running arm band ...better earphone..yadayada

Adventure run yishun dam
Had a 16km on deepavali day, from yishun stadium - yishun dam- seletar airbase - jln kayu.
Meet the gang at stadium at 5.30pm. Taz ,J ,Sh and WS turned up for the run. We started the run about 6pm.

Along the route theres this new apartment being built "shaughnessy", Kinda strange name not sure how to prononce it maybe its called "shag-hennessy" haha . We also got to see the very nice orangy hue of the setting sun amid the multi colored hue. So romantic . After getting drinks from jalan kayu. We headed back to the same route we ran. J was perturb by the darkness as some of the lamppost are down.

At about 12-13km mark my ankle pain started to kick in and i have to reluctanly slow down behind the group. J came back to assist me and we run and walk all the way back to the stadium.

Had a meal at khatib area before headed back. And yesh i got my 3 packs of power gel for coming standard charter run.
