Week in summary (MOS, the beds, Thumper, SALSA Class)
Went to ministry of sound for some drinks with Nic, Jc, Dan, Jos and Jon. Noticed that they had a retro night similar to that of zouk known as candy floss retro night. Bring back memories ..
There are couple of event rooms at MOS. We found out asking the bouncer the cost which is roughly about 4k for one night booking. That is excluding the drink charges..
Friday night headed down to my friend's new pub at mhd sultan.. called "the beds" expecting to find a slumber party there.. but turns out to be a KTV pub and a sports lounge at the back. Actually what really surprise me is this area mhd sultan ..used to be a bursting with pubbing activites in its hay day.. now dwindle to less then 6 pubs.. Was it the zig-zag line refraining cars froom parking on the roadside or the emerging super clubs like MOS and other happening pubs at clarke quay that killed it?
Anyway after which me and dan headed down to thumper with jos and tom . Tom the flamboyant one. All i can say hes a veteran at picking up girls.. Always with a extra drink in hand as his method of approach, his style is so much like that of the book "speed seduction" . No hassitation. No compromise.. cool
Sat, me , jon and wayne, Decided to go for salsa class after much thought and concideration. The point is to enrich our body and soul not just to socialise. JJ Salsa Rengue was recommended by most of my friends as the couple instructor were patient and very professional in conducting the course. First day at class we learn the basic steps.. the side steps , spin and backstep. Akward at first coz this is the first time i am dancing so intimate with strangers . Maybe practicing this week with the gals at union square.
