Great discovery
Just found out from a friend who has the same notebook as mine that if you see a tiny switch behind that IBM T23 notebook battery? And if you flip the switch..your monitor screen will turn transparent and you could see everything behind...Guess what i did!!
Now i can bring my notebook out and spy on people...Cool!

Leaving again
Yup, just got news that i will be leaving for jakarta for a couple of days. Kinda nervous this time for you guys should know that there are bomb threats and recent reminder of the bali bombing still haunts alot of us.
But everytime i leave a country , my perception changes.. i hope this trip will be able to change some of my perception of the country.
Better start packing soon...

Yes its back again... It has been a ritual to come back again and again for this yearly event since 1999. As usual i had a seat as a spectator as clifford's wife is the judge for the contest (envy me haha) . I took this oppourtunity to again test out my camera (tryin out the fast shutterspeed).
I got ju's to watch the event (did not know she was once a cheerleader too) . Lighting condition is irratic due to the sun roof so it was a tough event to cover...Anyway heres some of the photos i shot..

coming of a new age
It is inevitable that I would succumb to purchasing one of this baby. As you all know for 4-5 years I have been using a compact digital camera the ixus V cause I can't afford something like a DSLR camera. But prices of DSLR are dropping below the 2K price range. So I got on the bandwagon and purchase my first DSLR camera at the IT show( EOS 350D). (BTW I have been shooting photos for over a decade since I was in my primary school years. I have also been vp of my secondary school photography society) . So I guess its time to say good bye to my EOS 650


My new EOS 350D... Yes its on installment.. But definitely worth the deal!

First Violin recital

Nope i was not that talented enough to be in this recital. heck i can't even play a tune on the violin.
But i was fortunate enough to get into the esplanade theatre
Students from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music perform works from the violin repertoire. The recitals over two evenings feature sonatas by Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Grieg and Debussy, etc

Every tune they play seen to send me to different scenery (or daydream location). Just absolutely mesmerising. A 2 day event not to be missed .

Death door knocks
We all knows that no man can live forever. Suddenly it felt so real today when I attended my friend's mom funeral. That the one you loved or known for the longest time would just disappear from this mortal world. As what my friend say is that her mom has gone back to the arm of the lord , away from suffering. But why some suffer before death and others not... Could not comprehend this thou.

I guess what we can do is to embrace death as part of the cycle of life. Live healthy and meaningful. Everyday spend it as it is your last.. See the world at least you have something to talk about once your are at the pearly gates... Tell that someone you love her..

Today is the big day. I will be embarking on a major mission and probably the finest hour of lives. I will be sent via chinook(helicopter) to LZ .. Where or enemy will be .. Seek and destroy ...

All this happening at yishun...yes its my last in camp exercise for this year. Hope to see u guys soon!
