What a Pool of a Difference
It has been a long while since i visited the public pool. Would normally visit the Safra pool most of the time. So for a change i pop by the jln besar pool which is near my workplace plus i heard good things of this pool ( being new an all).
Some of the difference i notice.
Brighter with tons of floodlight (looks like a stadium) - Safra pool dimmer with yellowish tungsten lighting.
Cost for visiting $1 - visitor for Safra $2.50
No shower gel in toilet cubicle - Safra has it ! so one thing less to bring
and finally ..no bubble jet spa.. hehe
Well take a new look at the public pool today.

Run route disclosed
Yup this is my regular run route , Normally i start around 5pm and finishes by 6pm. But last week i did the unthinkable by running at 8pm. Why unthinkable cause the stretch at andrew avenue to the simpang kiri park connector is pitch dark. No lamp post is built. The only building that it leads up to is the mosque and the bottle tree restuarant.
all i can say it gives you the spine tingleling sensation. Like a roller coaster ride. There were wild dogs in the area too ...barking at you while you run.
Total distance.. -12km

Home at last
Helo All, Just got back from my trip to kawal kelong at bintan island. For the second time. Yup nothing much to say about that trip except we spend more time fishing, eating and sleeping (due to the monsoon period). More photos here

Dennis and Barbara ROM
Yesterday I was given the most difficult task of shoot my friends ROM ceremony. Why I said its the toughest assignment well simply its a once in in a life time event and I don't wish to blow it up. And also I have not covered this kinda event. Should I do good in it I will have many more business ..sideline business... If the latter, I could be remembered as the one who ruined good memories..
Thankfully everything kinda turned out well execpt for the first few pages... Which kinda over exposed.. Due to the incompatible flash I used.

East Coast Run
Just got myself a new shoe 2 week ago actually. Its a mizuno waverider 8 as recommended by the good folks at sgrunners.com and of coz taz.
Took it out for a spin at east coast with J , taz and Kng. The rest couldn't make it due to commitment . But todays run wasn't your everyday run coz the SGrunners are having their east coast run about 21km. As the J is afraid of the sun we decided to move out earlier at 7.10 to be precise. And the Sgrunner group is starting off at 7.30 We ran upwards to the safyc while the Sgrunner group went off the fort road side.
Well i used to get the leg sprain when i ran with my old nike katana II but with this shoe the cushion and the support for the heel was fantastic all pain is gone. And running was almost a breeze (minus the muscleache). Unfortunately on the return leg of the run. My stomach started to cramp up. So i walk for some distance lagging behind the group. Finally completed my 14km run at about 1h 30m . Oh well... better luck next time.
Kng went of for his skill test for the upcoming adventure race. Meet up the Sgrunner for a short gathering at mcdonald for breakfast. K was there showing his new polar watch and foot pod to all of us. Information gathered from the foot pod was...none. (due to stopping at some location..oggling at bladding gals? i wonder) Nonetheless we get to meet some interesting members from the forum like Do, Tiwazz, Aliciab, Balasing, alex, bee...and familiar faces like TLR , FD ..
And you think that running 14km wasn't enuff, i met up with jon at 4pm for another 8 laps in the safra pool. clocking at 2.50min per laps.
So 1 word to describe today is "SHACK"
Okay bedtime....

BBQ At Aloha Loyang
Last week we had our first annual sales meeting over at aloha loyang. Well i can't discuss about this event or i have to kill you off. J was there too but her company is doing the team building event. Which we agree that it is a total waste of time.
And after the sales meeting, we had our BBQ dinner. Had lotsa fun especially having some nice drinks bought down by our boss. The star attraction was the Sake, a light rice wine with aprox 44% alchol . The best sake is those that is sweet and has no burning sensation to your throat when drunk. Flows like a river i say and this one definately was one of the best sake.
Fire burning the Sweet Pumkin
Fine Sake from japan ... 1.8L of pure rice wine :)
Heres how you open it... and not use a hammer to smash it
